Add a CommentA fantastic guide to growing your own herbs and vegetable without having to own acres of land or even a backyard garden. The "choosing a container" section is fantastic because it encourages recycling containers you already have around the house or can obtain easily and cheaply. Why not use a rubber tub or a supermarket basket? Grow some arugula in a kitchen colander or plant some potatoes in a woven bag. Detailed instructions and great step-by-step photos make this a must have for anyone looking to grow their own organic produce.
Ingenuous use of containers you may already have on hand. A wide variety of plants. Plenty of hints. I have known since a small child that you are supposed to hill your potatoes. After all these years, I learned the reason.(Here the suggestion is to grow them in woven plastic bags and add more soil as they sprout.)
