I really enjoyed this - it was a fast-paced book, a little predictable but still fun. The characters were believable and anyone who's ever had a dog will relate to Remy's interactions with Marlowe. Kudos to Sniegoski for actually taking the time to make his angels reasonably theologically accurate - I wish more authors would do that.I really enjoyed this - it was a fast-paced book, a little predictable but still fun. I really enjoyed this one. It was nice to see a female lead whose story doesn't devolve into erotica after the first chanpter. I did find it a bit hard to get into, but once the story gets going, I finished it off in one night.

Still fun like the previous games, but man the story is SLOW! Too many times I put this down because I wnated to be solving puzzles, but instead had to sit through 10 minutes of exposition, followed by a simple puzzle and 10 more minutes of exposition. The should have made the story less complex so that that didn't need to spend so much time explaining it.Still fun like the previous games, but man the story is SLOW! If you've read this far into the series, by all means pick this book up and finish it off. Not bad in that it does compete the story, this one doesn't read as smoothly as the previous two. In the acknowledgements, the author mentions that he struggled with this book and unfortunately it's a little obvious. There were several parts that I had to go and re-read because I couldn't tell what had just happened and at the very end the story feels like it's in a hurry to tie up all the loose ends. Also a fair bit shorter than than the previous two. It's not bad, but it was a bit of a let-down.If you've read this far into the series, by all means pick this book up and finish it off. If you enjoyed Apocalypse Blues, you'll like this one. Apocalypticon follows one of the minor characters from the first book and goes back to the USA after the xombie apocalypse. The author does a good job of showing what remains of society as well as presenting some truly grotesque scenes that seem commonplace in the new normal that the world has gained. If you enjoyed Apocalypse Blues, you'll like this one. Not a bad story. This is a short, quick read and it doesn't get too far into itself as a result. The story is fast-paced and the vampire stuff kept to a minimum. Basically, it's a story about a thief who just happens to be a vampire. If you're looking for a quick urban fantasy to read, this wouldn't be a bad choice. Not a bad story. Not bad. I found the story read a little like a modern take on "This is the way the world ends." The book is dark and intriguing, but not terribly engrossing. A good apocalypse scenario if you're looking for something quick to read.

The second book in this series reads much like the first. The author takes less time on Burton's background and focuses more on some of the secondary characters in this book - fleshing out the world a bit more. I still love the gritty industrial-London feel and the breakneck pace of the story. If you enjoyed Spring-heeled Jack, this is well worth picking up.The second book in this series reads much like the first. Loved this show! It's a great update, and the actors do a fantastic job. My only complaint was the writing of "The Blind Banker" - I didn't think this episode stuck with the characters, premise, style and pace of the other two. "Study in Pink" and "Great Game" are awesome. "Blind Banker" is just okay.Loved this show! It's a great update, and the actors do a fantastic job. A good zombie book. This one doesn't over-complicate itself, it just tells a good, believeable story. The characters are well written and the story keeps you on edge. If you like zombie stories, don't miss this one!

Parts of this book are great...the author does a good job on the first-person account and in graphically portraying the effects a zombie apocalypse would have on humanity. An interesting take on steampunk. This book doesn't bog itself down by trying to explain the steampunk elements, it just absorbs them into an odd, but interesting story. The story has elements of the victorian without getting slowed down by them. Overall, it's a fun read if you like the genre. An interesting take on steampunk. If you've ever laughed a something on Star Trek, this book is for you. It's a quick but entertaining read that doesn't hesitate to poke at genre conventions whenever it feels like it. Entertaining, funny, self-aware and well worth picking up.

Not as strong as the first one, but still well worth picking up. This book does a lot of set up for the third, so the movement of the plot drags a bit, but the story and chaarcters are still interesting .

A long-awaited follow-up to Belladonna. This book focuses on Lee and his struggle to reconcile what his sister's done and his part in it. A good read - engrossing and well-paced. If you've read the other Epemera books, don't miss this one.

Interesting idea, entertaining characters, but over-the-top. I can accept the zomibes and the conspiracy, but Caine can't even have her characters walk out the front door without someone beating the heck out of them. It gets old and overdone very quickly...which is too bad, because the idea is interesting otherwise.Interesting idea, entertaining characters, but over-the-top.
