I might have thought this was funny when I was in junior high. But my mother would have asked me why I would waste my time on such brainless drivel.

Cute dogs, Catherine O'Hara, and Jennifer Coolidge ... what more could you ask for?! A truly silly, fun (and gay!) comedy.

This is a movie to watch again and again and again! Hilarious! Loved seeing all my dog show friends. A mockumentary of dog show life.

Watched this again the other day and it still holds up. Such a talented cast and to think they mostly improvised is just astonishing!

Hilarious satire of the dog show world--the humor is clever and subtle.

There are some legitimately funny parts, however most of the movie seems a bit ham-fisted and delivery a bit off; if you want a funnier, perhaps more outrageous movie, try drop dead gorgeous.

It was great to see Fred Willard and funny as ever. I remember my neighbor walking through the backyards calling, "Penelope!!!" over and over. I thought she was calling her daughter. She wasn't. Another neighbor had a dog the size of a…

Every time I'm sad and can't quite get cozy, Best in Show comforts me like a neurotic show dog might be comforted by a Busy Bee toy.

VERY GOOD 2000 Christopher Guest comic mockumentary of upscale 'dog shows'. Interesting film style aided by lots of fine performers - the dogs were good, too.

This show is the definition of character based comedy. That also means the humour is a bit more subtle. If you are looking for wacky and zany, look away. If you enjoy watching odd balls interact, this may be for you. As for complaints…

This is a 2000 American mockumentary comedy directed by Christopher Guest. The film follows five entrants in a prestigious dog show and focuses on the slightly surreal interactions among the various owners and handlers as they travel to…

An okay mockumentary but not nearly as good as, say, Spinal Tap. It has its moments but there's a lot of dreck to go through to find the gems.

I highly recommend the mockumentary Best in Show for crazy dog people (it's okay, I am one) and fans of Christopher Guest's style of comedy; he is a master of the awkward moment.

I guess I'm not a Christopher Guest fan. It felt like a generic mockumentary, throwing together kooky characters and letting that be the story. Sometimes that works, but I found the characters in BEST IN SHOW to be caricaturish to the…

Parker Posey and Jennifer Coolidge's characters are excellent. The rest of the cast does well too. GOD LOVES A TERRIER!

this is a mockumentary folks, not a serious film about real dogs in a real dog show. disappointing to see negative comments left below by reviewers who actually thought that it was a documentary (or should i say dogumentary). any way…
