Not my favorite Nelson DeMille book. The main character, John Corey, is always entertaining, but the bad guy was so over-the-top crazy.

I don't know who I love more.... Nelson DeMille or John Corey!?!? I laughed out loud, I was thoroughly entertained and was surprised throughout. A great read like all of his books.....don't know how I missed this one when it first came…

A poor attempt to write a mystery novel! Gave up after 50 pages.

Wordy, predictable. Seems like some old movie script.

I enjoy John Corey novels and this I another likeable thriller. Corey is a scruffy sarcastic James Bond type. Yes it’s an unbelievable story but the that’s why it’s called fiction.

Great as usual.

in this one demille invades Bond territory, as a SMERSH-like agent from Moscow attempts to nuke Manhattan. It's up to loose cannon John Cory to stop him. Helping Corey is a lissome govt. agent. Somehow Corey keeps not contacting his…

Radiant Angel --- by. --- Nelson DeMille. DeMille tells tall tales. Improbably tall tales. But he tells them well. And therein hangs the tale. John Corey, National Security Agent is supposed to be no-brain work following Soviet,…

A little slow and wordy. Not his best but ok.

Sadly DeMille continues his rapid descent into mediocrity. Gone is the superb writer that gave us The Gold Coast, The Gate House and Plum Island among others. This book was mainly boring, with the only object being to see how much sarcasm…

My favorite writer of all time and probably his worst book. Plot stumbles along on a predictable story line.

Utterly godawful. Paranoia much? Russia is not fomenting wars across the globe like the U.S. Remember that the only country to drop the bomb was the U.S. Pure drivel. And badly written.

Started off good, but the conclusion was rushed and predictable. Almost like a James Bond plot. It seemed like he got tired of writing this and just wanted to wrap it up as quickly as possible.

An unrewarding, unfulfilled novel of massacre.

Another good DeMille book. Good mystery, good humor.

I am a fan of DeMille and The Gold Coast is one of the best and funniest books I've ever read. I find his John Corey stories hit or miss and Corey's sarcasm can be a little too much sometimes. It was dialled back in this one, though. I…

Possibly, one might say the writing was somewhat good, but the story is simply too fantasy-based, as if DeMille has never read any congressional investigation documents, any current news on the US encircling Russia and its economic warfare…

The idea is a good one but the plot is both rushed (too much happens too fast with the Russians) and dragging (John Corey repeats himself about the threat and his deductions again and again and again....). This book could have been longer:…

Disappointing for Demille and I am a John Corey fan normally. Boring and a lot of nonsense to get to a predictable end.

I felt a bit disappointed. I am a fellow Long Islander and I enjoyed the local scenery, but the story was predictable to me. I did enjoy the John Corey sarcasm.
