What a gem. Surprised at how much this story took hold of my heart and just kept squeezing. Even shed a few tears along the way. Destined to become a classic!

THERE IS A SECOND BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's called "Pax, Journey Home" and it is coming out Sept.7, 2021! The cover is a lot like the first, except there is a younger fox (Pax's son?) beside Pax.
My favorite fox is Bristle.

I read this with my 8 year old every night before bed. It was an endearing story with lessons of courage and perseverance. There are tough scenes because of a war going on, but sometimes real life is just that way. The ended was beautiful…
