Great book that keeps you at the edge of your seat until the very last page! A reporter is going on a work cruise and ends up stirring up a secret that could get her killed.

the writing was good. The character development was weak

OMG this was a thriller for sure. I love the twists and turns and glimpses into the future without giving away the story. This captures you and pulls you in to not want to put the book down. It was a riveting read and I strongly recommend…

I like the way Ware writes stories. Flipping back and forth between 2 different time lines. Adds the mystery of the story. Highly recommend

Ok, I had been wanting to read a thriller ala The Girl on the Train and Ruth Ware delivered. I had fun reading The Woman on Cabin 10. The setting, the layers, the mystery, and the unreliable character were super addicting and I couldn’t…

I found this recent work by Ruth Ware to be tedious and repetitious, with characters that are not at all believable, a plot that is more erratic and floundering than it is twisty as described in some reviews, and a main character with whom…

This novel appears to be a “locked room” mystery at first, and while that label is not entirely inaccurate, Ware places greater emphasis on protagonist Lo Blacklock’s thoughts and struggles. Such a focus has its strengths: Even before the…

The so-called "twist" not really a twist at all. The main character Lo is a typical millenial sloppy mess that is basically a functioning alcoholic. To say she is an unreliable narrator is an understatement. Slow moving and at times…

Each current book I read by Ware I think is her best. Lo, is a real mess after the burglary of her flat and unsure if she’s broken up with Judah before leaving for her travel wrier scoop on the maiden voyage of the Aurora. A true gaslight…

WOW WOW WOW WOW. I finished this book in one night because I was pretty invested into how it was going to turn out. I was kept guessing until the very end, and greatly enjoyed trying to figure out the mystery surrounding the Woman in…

Holy cow!!! The twists and turns in the book make it nearly impossible to put down! If you like mystery, this one's for you!

A typical "thriller". Many of the characters are unsympathetic rich people and the portrayal of women is problematic - their characters defined in terms of their relationships to men with the main protaganist too much of a klutz.

Do not start this book late at night because you will be reading until you are finished! Started the morning when I was doing my daily reading in the morning and was finished by bedtimes because I COULD NOT put it down. I am already on a…

Written in the first person. Some writers can carry this off. This isn't one of them.

Things seemed to pick up @chapter 26 (there are 37 chapters). From that point it became more interesting. There was a few (ok a lot) of implausible situations. This is my second book by Ruth Ware. The first one came close to DNF. I chose…

Contrary to some readers, two of us read this and both found it very enjoyable. We did read the Large Print version so it was a bit easier going. Very good descriptions of events, feelings etc.

It wasn't bad but I've read better. I felt that I really didn't get into it. It was good enough to keep me reading mainly because I wanted to know what happened to the woman in cabin 10.
