Louise L. Hay, bestselling author, is an internationally known leader in the self-help field. Her key message is: "If we are willing to do the mental work, almost anything can be healed." The author has a great deal of experience and firsthand information to share about healing, including how she cured herself after being diagnosed with cancer.

An excerpt from You Can Heal Your Life:

Life Is Really Very Simple. What We Give Out, We Get Back

What we think about ourselves becomes the truth for us. I believe that everyone, myself included, is responsible for everything in our lives, the best and the worst. Every thought we think is creating our future. Each one of us creates our experiences by our thoughts and our feelings. The thoughts we think and the words we speak create our experiences.

I am on the transit list for You can heal your life since Feb. Am I stuck on the list or are the books lost. Just don't understand if it is in transit, does it take a month? Sorry to ask this question, but just wanted to know. Never had a problem before.

If you have an open heart, mindset to be successful at whatever your goal, and believing, then this book is the founder of all self help books.

Literally, one of the first new age conceptual books with ideas that are so simple, yet will change your life forever.

Victims of abuse, violations, harassment, light depression, grief, and so many other "down" moods can benefit from this.

I believe they make students at The Waldorf School, read and practice all the exercises.

I wish I had come across this book earlier.

A great book that gets to the bottom of all the problems you have in life. The idea is to essentially change your thoughts to change your life. Very easy to read, and easy to follow. She breaks down what to do with simple exercises that you can use daily. I will be referring to this book whenever I feel a problem arise in life as a reminder of what to do.

This book is not just about creating the life you "want," it's about healing ourselves and allowing ourselves to heal in order for the Universe/God/The Creator to come into our lives and work through us.

Louise has been a beautiful inspiration for millions of people, and I can see why, I've met her in person and she is overwhelming with love at the young age of 85. Her belief in herself as well as humanity to heal themselves past their spiritual and mental limitations in order to create a better life and world is absolutely inspiring. I wish this book was mandatory reading in schools, it is truly the best book I have ever had the pleasure of pulling off the shelf in the library, and the best investment I've ever made into my own health.

This book was life changing for me, and started me on a path that led me to other wonderful authors all under Louise's label Hay House Publishing, such as Doreen Virtue, Wayne Dyer and Cheryl Richardson.

Do not discount this book and put it into the same category as "The Secret" - The Secret barely touched on the power of our mind and our emotions; this book is how we can heal our emotional hurts, our constant cycles of pain and suffering in order to live the life we were MEANT to live - which may not necessarily be the one we "want," but it may be 10 times better!

Written well before 'The secret'. Another book about life and creating a life that you want.
