Mrs. Moose wants a turkey for Thanksgiving so Mr. Moose sets out to find her one. With some help from various friends the turkey is finally located. As you can imagine, he is reluctant to come to dinner but he is surprised with a delightful ending. A great Thanksgiving read to share with family.
In this delightful book, Mr. Moose promises to bring a turkey back home for Mrs. Moose’s Thanksgiving dinner. Rabbit, Mr. Goat, Sheep, and Porcupine all join in the hunt. When they find Turkey hiding, he’s understandably reluctant to come for dinner...but there’s a surprise awaiting him that will warm the hearts of readers.
This is a wonderful book. The pictures are beautiful and then story line is well done. The story teaches kindness and to not segregate others because of our images of them, or have them act how we think they should. It teaches compassion for the turkeys and that their place at our table should be as friends.
