some key points:
people living traditional hunter gather lifestyles tend towards an Ldl in blood of 50 to 70 mg/dl--author wonders if we all should aim for this...at this level, ath plaques do decrease.
(until recently the mainstream med target has been around 100 to 130? mg/dl)

my question: since death from all causes seems to rise for persons with 'very low cholesterol' (?check this) does this mean that persons who go very low from a very high reading are forced to use their oxidized ldl as building blocks--would there be a time limited period of body stress that would be worth going through or would the body have to use this gunk indefinitely?

another key idea in the book:
people with the lowest incidence of 'cardiac events' including death, tend to be the ones that do 3000 calories worth of exercise every week--the equivilant of 30 miles walked or jogged per week. that is alot!
but even a small amount of exercise gives huge benefits in this regard
