Moving all the way from the South Pole to the North Pole isn't easy for the young penguin Augustine. Uprooted from her home, she misses her friends, her grandma and grandpa and her old bedroom. There are all kinds of unfamiliar faces at the North Pole, and everything looks strange and different. When it's time to go to her new school, Augustine gets cold feet. But with the help of a few colored pencils and some inspiration from Picasso, this shy, artistic young penguin discovers a way to break the ice with her classmates and feel at home on the other end of the world.

Ds LOVES this book! It is cute and fun! And uses some things adults will catch but little kids might not catch, which is ok.

One of my favourite childrens' stories. This is a great book for anyone who has ever moved to a new town, home, or school. Everyone I know who has read this book (children and adults) has loved it. The pictures are beautiful, and the story will touch your heart.

A great story to read to kids who are nervous about moving homes or starting a new school. The art in the book (some based on famous paintings) is really well done.

Cute book. My kids also like the "Chester" books written by the same author.
