The best book I've ever read about gorillas. Certainly among the very best "animal books" that I've ever come across. Chock full of all types of information, including: similarities between humans and gorillas; finger prints and nose prints; social structure; only 1 of 4 types of gorillas can be seen in U.S. zoos; fascinating personal life stories of a number of gorillas; "gorilla-speak"; gorilla body language; diet; etc., and excellent photographs.
I've here suggested only the tip of the iceberg, this book is that rich.
I love reading about animals, zoos, and vets. This book is at the pinnacle.
Buy this book and give it to a child!

Gorillas were once considered fierce and mighty, but they are actually gentle and tender, loving toward their families, and very intelligent. Eight gorillas are featured in this book, including Koko, who learned and communicated in sign language.
