Add a Commenthas same message as THE BOOK ON THE TABOO AGAINST KNOWING WHO YOU ARE, just clothed differently.
Some of the things he writes about the pace of life and its changes and pressures could have been written ten years ago, or, for that matter, ten weeks ago. The more things change the more they stay the same - or do they? The capacity for acceptance of change and its stresses may be consistent, but since they have different causes and we value things differently than they did in the past, its not the same. Well, Watts' solution is the same: quietism. (the same solution advocated by Chopra and Tolle and many others.)
This book was published in 1951. It appears not to be a 1994 reprint, but an original publication of 1951.
