After reading some not-so-good reviews, I was a little scared going into this book. But one-third into the book, I was really into it and I remembered all the good things with its' pleasant writing. The murder was fun to read, the characters not so interesting (especially the newer ones) but certainly very familiar as we are into the seventh book of the series. I love how Coyle is willing to bring disappointment and failures in her characters' life. It's not always picture perfect for them. I will say though that on the investigative side of things, I don't generally like Clare's method of investigation. It's sorta the opposite of how the forces do, no? But maybe that's why she get the answers every single time.
