Things are finally looking up for defense attorney Mickey Haller. After two years of wrong turns, Haller is back in the courtroom. When Hollywood lawyer Jerry Vincent is murdered, Haller inherits his biggest case yet: the defense of Walter Elliott, a prominent studio executive accused of murdering his wife and her lover. But as Haller prepares for the case that could launch him into the big time, he learns that Vincent's killer may be coming for him next.

Enter Harry Bosch. Determined to find Vincent's killer, he is not opposed to using Haller as bait. But as danger mounts and the stakes rise, these two loners realize their only choice is to work together.

Bringing together Michael Connelly's two most popular characters, The Brass Verdict is sure to be his biggest book yet.

I don't know how I missed this book since I have been reading the Harry Bosch series for 25 years. I think it was because this 10-year-old title is listed as a Mickey Haller / Lincoln Lawyer book, and I am less fond of this series. I could never understand how Bosch and Haller met and became connected... Now I know. Excellent book. Recommend!! Kristi & Abby Tabby

“ father telling me that it wasn’t scary. That is was beautiful. He tried to teach me the painter’s name Hieronymous Bosch.”
----------------— Talking about “The Garden of Earthly Delights”, the Lincoln Lawyer tells Det. Harry Bosch on his deck overlooking the LA cityscape, just like Harry’s deck overlooking same, but “on the other side”.----------------—It’s another Lincoln Lawyer book and Harry is in it—Connelly’s 2 heroes. Mostly the Lawyer.-----------Solid book, with a lot about lawyering; admirable stuff, that. Sordid realities.-------–Fun free-wheelin’ law-ing in the LA. Connelly’s one of the best. Not too thrillin’, but definitely absorbing. ---------On my third or so soiree with lucid dreaming I woke up in that painting and it scared me right out of the dream. I had read earlier Bosch books....time to try again (or read my eventually to be written, "Like Snow" graphical novel).

A Lincoln Lawyer book (my first)...I like Mickey Haller a lot (and as Matthew M plays him in the movie, I think I'll check that out!)...good mystery and Detective Harry Bosch got me all choked up at the end! I enjoy Michael Connelly's books. Good reader on this one as well!

I liked this book. 6 of 10 for me.

This novel is longer than necessary. One of the things I can't stand is courtroom dialogue. It bores me and is only a unnecessary filler. Connelly has written better such as the Lincoln Lawyer, but this average story is 5 of 10 stars.
