Jack Reacher is back.
The countdown has begun. Get ready for the most exciting 61 hours of your life. #1 "New York Times" bestselling author Lee Child's latest thriller is a ticking time bomb of suspense that builds electric tension on every page.
Sixty-one hours. Not a minute to spare.
A tour bus crashes in a savage snowstorm and lands Jack Reacher in the middle of a deadly confrontation. In nearby Bolton, South Dakota, one brave woman is standing up for justice in a small town threatened by sinister forces. If she's going to live long enough to testify, she'll need help. Because a killer is coming to Bolton, a coldly proficient assassin who never misses.
Reacher's original plan was to keep on moving. But the next 61 hours will change everything. The secrets are deadlier and his enemies are stronger than he could have guessed--but so is the woman whose life he'll risk his own to save.
In 61 Hours, Lee Child has written a showdown thriller with an explosive ending that readers will talk about for a long time to come.

Enjoyable. Really keeps your attention.
This book was great listening ,i didn't like that all these people died and most of all the witness !
this was a story that really held my interest.
Hill has the perfect voice for these novels and adds to the ambience.
Here, Jack has caught a ride on a bus that is touring seniors around South Dakota in the winter. When the bus crashes on the highway, the group is stranded near the small town of Bolton.
Bolton has a couple of situations. One is a recent murder. Another is the recent arrest of a drug dealer. Local police are protecting the witness. There is a large jail just outside of town that has federal, state, and county facilities. The Bolton police are backup for the jail in case of emergency (like riots or escapes).
As usual, this has a great story, lots of suspense, and great characters.
One of my favourite lines, that repeats several times, was about one of the bad guys. "Because he was Plato, and they weren't".
I liked this book. 7 of 10 for me.
The most recent of the Jack Reacher series. I listened to this as a digital audiobook.
Really enjoyed it right up to the end. The level of detail and how Reacher thinks, is something I always find fascinating.
The end surprised me and I wonder how or if there is a next Reacher novel.....
Lee Child must have been paid by the word in this much too long novel of kidnapping, extortion, mayhem and murder. So many innocent citizens are violated and killed that this reader was more frustrated. The best portion by far is the ending. While there is some good writing, overall, no better than 5 of 10 stars
Lee Child's best yet!!!
