Dom Cobb is the best there is at extraction; stealing valuable secrets inside the subconscious during the mind's vulnerable dream state. His skill has made him a coveted player in industrial espionage, but also has made him a fugitive and cost him dearly. Now he may get a second chance if he can do the impossible; inception, planting an idea rather than stealing one. If they succeed, Cobb and his team could pull off the perfect crime.

One of my favorite and most original films i have ever seen. Great cast and one of my favorite, if not my favorite, directors, Christopher Nolan.

Hands down my favourite film out of all the films that I have watched! Everything is so memorable about Inception, the plot, action, cast and score to name just a few. The ending is absolute perfection! There is truly nothing like it in cinema!

This movie has one of the best story lines out of any movie I have seen. Christopher Nolan is my favorite director. It features Leonardo DiCaprio and returners of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, and Cillian Murphy which have been in other films of Nolan's. I rate this a five, on a 1 to 10 scale I would rate this around a 9.2

Arguably one of the best works of Christopher Nolan, this movie is so complex that even after watching it several times it's just as convoluted as before. Starring an incredible cast with Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Tom Hardy and others. All set to the background film score of Hans Zimmer's famous 'Time'. Dom Cobb and his team are tasked with placing an idea into the mind of a businessman's rival to give up his company. This sci-fi thriller event makes the audience question reality, but all Cobb wants is to reunite with his family. I would recommend this mind-bending movie to anyone who would appreciate this kind of dedication.

One of the best science fiction movies. Great cast, great special effects. If you do not pay attention, then the script will seem complicated, I suppose. We have all heard the rumours, anything advanced, such as "future" technology shown in the movies, is withheld from the public for at least 20 years or longer. Does the mind technology in INCEPTION [or Dreamscape (1984),Dennis Quaid] exist today? If it does, it would explain a lot and maybe the people locked up in mental institutions weren't crazy after all.
I think this is the first movie I seen that has shown waking up in a dream, inside of a dream, inside of a dream, etc., and each time you still think it feels like "real life".

The basic idea seems like it could have been a very good film: a device that allows one to enter others' minds whilst they are dreaming and implant one's own ideas into them without them being able to resist or even knowing about it, and one can also extract their ideas from their dreams; add criminals and major global corporations (and the natural foibles of man), and you've got yourself a film. Unfortunately, it got convoluted by super-special anesthetics (to keep people asleep) only available in Kenya (for no reason) that can make people so asleep that they dream that they dream, and even dream that they dream that they dream. Then there are different subplots in each dreamworld. The visuals of the film are a mixed lot: extraordinary special effects, but there are far too many cutbacks and closeups and an insane amount of fighting and shooting and killing.

Love this film--it keeps your attention and it is fast-paced. The film is about a professional thief who steals thoughts from people's memories such as classified information worth millions of dollars. He keeps on seeing his deceased wife in people's subconscious and it causes problems. The whole movie makes you wonder if everything is real or not. I'm not someone who typically watches a movie more than once (early on). However, I immediately watched it for the second time to catch some of the little clues that I missed during the first time. Not everyone will like this film because it can be a bit confusing at times, difficult to follow at times, and leave you with many questions. But I LOVED it and Leonardo DiCaprio did an excellent job with acting. There has been a lot of discussion about whether there should be a sequel to it or not. I have mixed feelings about this possibility because this was such a great film and I don't know if the sequel will live up to it--that is IF they do make a sequel for it. I highly doubt it though.

Multiple watches are needed to get everything from it as the plot is very complicated... but I've found it worth it every time. Great storytelling and ideas. Keeps you holding your breath for the whole movie and the emotional release at the end.... it's just great.

This is a great one if you like intense psychological, mind-bending movies with a heart-wrenching twist. You might have to watch this action-packed movie a few times before you understand everything about it. It is fast-paced and you have to be paying attention or it's easy to miss something important. It also deals with themes of self-forgiveness, moving on, and our perception of time and reality.

This is a 2010 fantasy-thriller written and directed by Christopher Nolan.
Dominick "Dom" Cobb works as a professional thief who steals information by infiltrating the subconscious, and is offered a chance to have his criminal history erased as payment for a seemingly impossible task: "inception."
That is, the implantation of another person's idea into a target's subconscious.
The story is so complicated that I just cannot understand many layers of dream when I first see it.
It seems too complicated for an ordinary viewer to grasp the whole idea.
Keep it simple and smart!
The film fails to realize this golden rule.
Probably, it won four Academy Awards for the sake of profound complexity only the Academy's voting members could understand.
