Contained within are more than 15 original cable patterns for pullovers, jackets, bags, socks, and accessories. Also included is information on a new charting system for predicting cable behavior as well as tips on cabling without a cable needle, choosing the best yarns for specific cable effects, and designing original cable patterns.

No unique concepts in design or presentation, but a very solid collection of cabled pieces. Agree with other comments that cables are a lot easier than you'd think but they look so hard. Not.

Some wonderful cable patterns and ideas in here. Good diagrams and explanations of various cable stitches. Sweaters, scarves, hats.... GREAT. Don't be intimidated by cables; once you get the hang of them, it's fun and so rewarding.
