Movie started strong, establishing a likeable plot line and a likeable character (Jake Gyllenhaal). Although the movie is a love story, I felt the romance between Hathaway's and Gyllenhaal's characters was rather uninteresting. As with most movies, even if it's not great, the ending can still give you a payoff and there was some real emotion between the lovers. All in all though, it could have been better - a two and a half star rating for a movie I actually watched all of is quite low. On the bright side, as bad as it was, it was easily the best and most watchable between this genre which includes intense duds like Friends With Benefits and No Strings Attached.

Unconventional movie that keeps you guessing. The story of Jamie (Jake Gyllenhaal) coming to terms with who he really is and how he wants to live his life introduces you to interesting characters. The nudity makes sense considering the characters. You understand the final choices Jamie makes better after watching the deleted scenes on the DVD. In the end you wish both Jamie and Maggie (Anne Hathaway) lots of luck.

I like both of the lead actors, so I thought I would like this movie. But the story was weak, and depended largely on sex scenes. A waste of time, IMHO.

Same genre as "The Fault In Our Stars" - so you have to be in the mood for that. If you want to see a nude Gyllenhaal & Hathaway, this movie is for you.

DISC WAS SCRATCHED SO BAD I COULD NOT WATCH ENTIRE MOVIE. RE-STARTED 3 TIMES.
SOME STEAMY LOVE SCENES, WITH NUDITY. INTERESTING STORY ABOUT DRUG PEDDLERS.
VIGRA CHANGED THE WORLD.
OLIVER PLATT WAS GOOD.

Huh. Another movie that surprised. Yeah, yeah, they both are sure they know themselves and find their true selves through love blah blah. Which, okay. Fine. But there's more texture here, particularly around Parkinson's and Big Pharma, and both Hathaway and Ghyllenhall give pretty solid performances. Rating this higher than I expected to.

“Love & Other Drugs” was better than I expected. It becomes a bit sappy at the end but manages to recover nicely.

For a movie dealing with a very sensitive subject it had a distractingly large amount of nudity. It could have been better.
