The sensitive target of vicious bullying at school, 12-year-old Owen is a social misfit from a broken home. By day Owen dreams about laying waste to his classroom tormentors; by night his attentions turn to his reclusive neighbors in their austere apartment complex. One evening, as Owen takes out his pent-up aggressions on a tree, his new neighbor Abby appears over his shoulder. A young girl wise beyond her years, Abby just moved in next door to Owen with her stoic caretaker, who seems to harbor a sinister secret. Compelled by Abby's apparent imperviousness to the harsh winter elements, her frail disposition, and the fact that she's nowhere to be found before the sun falls, Owen senses a kindred soul, and strikes up a friendship with the girl, despite her repeated attempts to maintain an emotional distance. Simultaneously, their community grows vigilant following a series of vicious murders, and Abby's caretaker vanishes without a trace. Later, as Abby begins to grow vulnerable, her bond with Owen strengthens. By the time Owen begins to suspect that his evasive new friend is something other than human, it starts to seem as if Abby could use a good friend after all. Given that his bullies are growing more emboldened by the day, so too could Owen.

Not your typical vampire movie, which was nice for a change. I thought he children's acting was superb. Has a lot of pretty gory scenes & Owen's bullies are truly cruel, but overall I liked it.

This is a movie that didn't need to be made. Stick with the original, "Let the Right One In" out of Sweden. This remake is bigger budget, more stylized, has bigger stars, and just falls flat in comparison.

This is a re-make but for once, a re-make that is as well made as the original; actually I prefer this version because of the amazing performances of Chloe and Kodi, especially Chloe. While the actress in the original was very good she doesn't have the special something that makes Ms. Moretz the most highly sought after young actress in Hollywood right now.(she has four movies coming out in 2016) Let Me In is well worth your time.

Very different than your typical horror movie. Much more romantic, with minimal focus on the actual horror. That being said I did really enjoy this.

I just wish people would stop taking library materials. I really wanted to see "Let the Right One In", the Swedish original movie. Let Me In is a remake. It's okay . . . enjoyed it . . . but PEOPLE!!! Stop taking library materials. So many things I've wanted to see have gone "Missing". I actually bought the dvd "Let Me In" and do enjoy it. Some good gore.

Yeah. OK. I'm quite aware that Let Me In was supposed to be a heart-felt story about a touching relationship that transpired between a regular, 12 year-old boy and a vampire girl (of about the same age), but when I seriously considered Abby (the vampire) and her ferociously vicious appetite for you-know-what, any cuteness that was intended here as a means to gloss over that horrific fact of her thirst, went sailing straight out the door, as far as I'm concerned._____ There can be no denying that the quiet eeriness of this film's musical score clearly played a major part in setting the creepy mood of the story. The music's hypnotic quality was obviously there to manipulate my emotional state, thus giving Let Me In a very haunting ambience that it didn't rightfully deserve._____ From my perspective, this was a pathetically ugly and emotionally sterile story about the horrid cruelness of bullying and to what great lengths an odd, lonely boy will go to in order to have at least one friend._____ In this film we really learn very little about the vampire girl, Abby, except that she's been 12 years old for a mighty long time.

I enjoyed this version and the only reason I watched it was because the girl who was in this movie was also in Kick Ass. There was a certain sadness all through-out the film. The characters were real enough as were the situations of poverty and school bullies. The movie does not try to resolve 'the future' in anyway so while the ending may seem rather sweet, when you think of the days to come in the lives of these people, what can they have to look forward to?
