Betty never misses an episode of her favorite soap opera, "A Reason to Love". After a mind-altering run-in with two hit-men while watching an episode, Betty thinks she is "Nurse Betty" and embarks on a mission to find her one true love, Dr. David Ravell, the hero of her soap opera, all the while being pursued by the mis-matched hitmen.

Morgan Freeman and Chris Rock are the best things about this film. Freeman is surprisingly funny at times. I didn't care much for the way Zellweger's character was written. All of the characters, and her's in particular, are poorly written and come across pretty hollow despite being played by pretty good actors. There were some funny lines that made me laugh so I gave it three stars, despite being underwhelmed by the story and the characters. I expect more from a comedy, so I wouldn't really recommend this unless you're desperate.

Hard to like a film whose director treats his characters with thinly disguised contempt.

Unusual film.

The plot is unique, at times quirky.

Who wouldn't want to watch Morgan Freeman as a cowboy killer make love to an Alice-in-Wonderland-dressed Renée Zellweger?

Seriously bent story combined with superlative acting by Zellweger and Freeman makes this gem a treat.
