Unnecessary bad language, mostly in the beginning ("f" word). Really good movie; back cover explains storyline. Good acting too. I will watch it again and try to mute the bad words.

With Aasif Mandvi (hilarious correspondent on the Daily Show) as the protagonist/writer, I was expecting to laugh more. However, Aasif does some fine dramatic acting. Although the writing does not throw you any "curveballs", it does however, hit its notes quite nicely.

A friendly movie about what matters in life, with two drawbacks. Samir, the main character, doesn't seem very likable. The plot is cliched, right up to the end where Samir has a few hours to serve dozens of customers with high expectations, and miraculously, he is able to cook "from the heart" rather than from a recipe. He doesn't seem to work hard enough for the climax to be connected to a transformation in his character.

Sweet.

This was funny, sweet and highly relatable. I loved this movie. Aasif was perfect, and any movie with any Dean Winters is good to me!

Delightful movie about food and family, starring The Daily Show's Aasif Mandiv as a classically trained chef who is forced to work in his father's greasy spoon Indian restaurant when the cook quits and his father has a heart attack.

I have checked out this movie time and time again.

It is well acted, the actors are so superb and how they deliver the characters which makes it funny and heartfelt. It is a great date movie

A good time to watch is when life throws you a curve ball or you miss your family, or when you think you know for sure what you want out of life.

It always makes me want Indian food.
