This was really interesting because it showed Vader imagining his life if he had not turned to the Dark side.

Agreed. I really liked the changes in the art for each story which I thought gave more depth to the characters. For any Vader fans this is a must read.

I have waited a long time for someone to take on Darth Vader in what should be the most epic timelines in Star Wars. The story of the real Darth Vader, His Crusades to rid the universe of Jedi and his rise in power with the Empire. And I have a smile on my face because this was good. A magical blend of the flopped Anakin stories and the Darkness and power that the great Lord Vader is made of. I didn't feel that this was a deep story, But it was rich and had an enjoyable flow. The art beautiful and the depiction of Vader in his may states and environments well done. I hope to see more big sweeping landscapes and spacescapes in future volumes but time will tell.
