With customary charm and deftness, Alexander McCall Smith gives us another instalment in this popular series, currently running in The Scotsman. Anything could happen to Bertie and the gang, especially with an invitation to one of Scotland's premier jazz festivals.

Slow paced like the other books but there is less closure for each storyline than the other books I find. I'll continue to read the series though to find out what happens to Bertie.

Another hilarious book from Alexander McCall Smith! Fans will alternately cringe and shriek with laughter!
