Not a book to be taken as authenticly scientific reading. It can be some passtime for someone who already share the similar fads and only need some backups. Tons of claims are scary to laymen, but have no solid scientific data to support. Even for the quotes researches it referred to are not quoted in fidelity. For example, scientists are studying the possible association of Celiac disease with iron deficiency and currently the results are conflicting (which means no conclusions here). But this author quotes this study as the gluten is causing iron deficiency anemia! haha, I just see a paranoiad person standing in front of me, yapping; no convincing arguments there. All I can say is: Readers, be aware! Use your own brain and good judgment and cross - examination !

The only reason this book did not get 5 stars is because of the section of EMF radiation - she basically said beware of cellphones, beware of electric cars, beware of technology! Without actually telling us any realistic ways to deal with it...if you can't cover the subject well, don't cover it all especially when technology plays such a big role in our lives.

However, for nutrition I totally give her props. I can tell you I did not read this cover to cover, however, they were some winning sections in there! If this had just been edited one more time to make it easier to read for all...

Utterly fascinating. This should be required reading in grade school (while their minds are still open and before they hit the 'I know everthing' stage).
Highly recommended for those interested in their health and wish to know what your body is geneticaly programmed to consume.
It informs you also of the consequences of deviating from your inbred requirements for good health and longevity.

A fabulous book if you are interested in nutrition. Topics are well organized and allow readers an opportunity to go straight to areas of interest (mental health, diabetes etc.). I have read most of the books written by experts in the field of the "paleo" lifestyle and this book still shed light on so many things for me. A very easy read, but so informative. No one could go away from reading this book and not question conventional wisdom regarding nutrition. Highly recommend!
