This book is wonderful. There are other books on raising poultry with lots of glossy photos, but this one has really solid information. From the ins and outs of bird biology to appropriate housing, to processing poultry for consumption, etc. Covers not just chickens, but also ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowls, quail, etc.
