"I'M THINKING HAPPY GAY THOUGHTS ABOUT YOU and I WANT TO KNIT U A SWEATER. WHAT COLOUR? and I THINK I JUST FAILED A MATH TEST BECAUSE I WAS THINKING OF U 2 MUCH" - tiny texting will grayson
When things break, it's not the actual breaking that prevents them from getting back together again. It's because a little piece gets lost - the two remaining ends couldn't fit together even if they wanted to. The whole shape has changed.
"I just want you to be happy. If that's with me or with someone else or with nobody. I just want you to be happy."
—John Green, Will Grayson, Will Grayson
“Maybe there's something you're afraid to say, or someone you're afraid to love, or somewhere you're afraid to go. It's gonna hurt. It's gonna hurt because it matters.”
"And you know how no one ever listens to [their parents'] advice, because even if it were true it's so annoying and condescending that it just makes you want to go, like, develop a meth addiction and have unprotected sex with eighty-seven thousand anonymous partners?" (pg. 76)

"the bean is this really stupid sculpture that they did for millenium park — i guess at the millenium — which originally had another name, but everyone started calling it the bean and the name stuck. it’s basically this big reflective metal bean that you can walk under and see yourself all distorted. i mean, i’ve been here before on school trips, but i’ve never been here with someone as huge as tiny before. usually it’s hard to locate yourself in the reflection, but this time i know i’m the wavy twig standing next to the big blob of humanity." (page 146)
I give people credit for buying into consumerism. - straight Will Grayson
tiny doesn't just sing these words - he belts them. it's like a parade coing out of his mouth. i have no doubt the words travel over lake michigan to most of canada and on to the north pole. the farmers of saskatchewan are crying. santa is turning to mrs. claus and saying 'what the fuck is that?'
Sexual Content: it has some internet chat scene sex stuff, but its not too bad.
Coarse Language: Does contain a few mentions of the f-bomb, but nothing that a teen can't handle (I'd just be wary of using it in book clubs).
