A new gang has taken over the Dragon Inn three years after it was left in ruins, using it as their base for uncovering a nearby treasure. But secrets lie within its walls, as a pregnant palace concubine and a swordswoman take refuge from a determined royal eunuch tracking their every move. Horrible and unwatchable!

More of a special effects than martial arts extravaganza. Multiple simultaneous storylines: a Robin Hood figure fighting corrupt officials, a runaway pregnant concubine being hunted by the jealous head concubine's henchmen, a treasure-hunt, plus the obligatory long-lost-love story. Not bad if you're after a sensory experience but don't much care about character development.

Not bad.

OK, the plot is unnecessarily complex and the sword fights are way over the top - imagine two guys fighting 'inside' a tornado? However, if you accept this as an action 'fantasy' film there are elements in the film that are worth watching. Visually it is pretty good - the constume, the desert setting. Some fighting sequences are well staged too. So despite many drawbacks it is an enjoyable film, if you don't take it too seriously.
