Was so glad to read matcat44's comments because I thought maybe it was me. I got to a point I just didn't care anymore and I gave up.

After 150 pages I was still trying to figure out the plot. Characters kept turning up without any explanation, committing mayhem to the point I really didn't t care any more. I like story lines with twists and turns but this was so convoluted I couldn't be bothered. Don't know if it lost something in translation, but this author is no Stieg Larsson.

much more complicated than Nesbo. lots of characters to keep track of. very good.

The author has written a mesmerizing novel that is difficult to put down; I particularly liked the ending where he put all the puzzle together without pardoning the wicked or punishing the mostly innocent. Great read.
