Part two of Ayn Rand's novel comes to the screen. Dagny Taggart, Vice President in Charge of Operations for Taggart Transcontinental, has discovered what may very well be the answer to a mounting energy crisis - a revolutionary motor that could seemingly power the world. It's a race against the clock to find the inventor before the motor of the World is stopped for good.

Going to rewatch this series but was totally impressed with the ideas & how much it seems to be true...until part 3! Don't want to give anything away so thats all I will say.

“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

I watched this again this weekend, and found it to be a very excellent movie, and a good follow on to Part 1. It was disappointing that they changed the entire cast for Part 2. I missed seeing Taylor Schilling who was stunning, but a bit too young to be the VP of a major railroad company. But after watching Part 2 for the 3rd time, Samantha Mathis as Dagny is growing on me. I look forward to seeing Part 3 in 2014. The book was in 3 parts so I assume there will be a Part 3 movie. That is when we get the answer to the immortal question " Who is John Galt ".

Better than the first part. I didn't quite get the ending, so I'll have to read the book. Movies tend to cut out a lot of the details surrounding the story.
