DON'T BOTHER REQUESTING THIS. The main reason is the quality of the DVD's is severely scratched on both disks, so you can't even see half of the documentary. The library has been told about this at least by 2 different people besides myself. They just keep putting it on the shelf. A very common problem with the DVD care and upkeep with the VPL.

The nasty, little user below, akirakato has recently sent me a private hate message, and it goes like this....

(*quote*) "Hey! How come you've jotted down here my comment from "Dolphin Tale"? Are you stupid or what? An idiot? Insane? Just simply foolish or just kidding? What the heck do you think you have done such a bloody out-of-mind act?"

So - Go ahead and read my "Dolphin Tale" comment and if you can figure out WTF!? this nasty girl (who's always writing spoilers) is talking about I'd sure like to hear about it.

Directed by Chris James Thompson in 2012, this 76-minute documentary explores the grisly case of Jeffrey Dahmer, a serial killer and sex offender who committed the rape, murder, and dismemberment of 17 men and boys from 1978 to 1991.
He was sentenced to 957 years in prison.
On November 28, 1994, Dahmer was beaten to death at the age of 34 by Christopher Scarver, a fellow inmate at the Columbia Correctional Institution.
It is a bizarre, shocking and disturbing documentary.

Interesting documentary to watch. Unbelievable what a human being can do to others human beings, with no remorse, no conscience and going with daly routine of life like nothing happened. It just prove me that evil exist and can be close to us without knowing it.

It was okay. Some interesting facts for newbies for hearing about it, but there was nothing intriguing to make me want to share it or remember it by. I wish they gave more of a backstory, what kind of people were his victims, why they were his victims, maybe even a transcript of what he told the Officer on his past victims.
All-in-all, pretty boring.

I almost didn't watch this after I checked it out because I thought it might be too disturbing and perhaps exploitative. However, it turned out to be very interesting. Much of the film focuses on those who investigated him and on his neighbors who had to come to terms with what he had done. It was really very touching to learn about some of the survivors.

Nothing new and narrative based on the face interviews of one detective and one neighbor disappointing docu drama.

Was a good movie. Part drama, part true crime. Worth the rental
