I found the first of the 4 series a bit too forced, but then settled down to enjoy the the balance. The different writers seem to be able to keep breathing life into this wonderful series. Still amazed by the location.

Rated 9/10. I would have given it a 10, but the unnecessary and shocking graphic scene in the last episode of series 6 prevents me from doing this. It was completely out of character with the series.

I love Doc Martin and thought Season 6 was great! I was glad to see more of Aunt Joan - and am hoping there is a series 7.

I didn't like the red headed ex-girlfriend, and I like the goofy constable because he makes me laugh. This is supposed to a comedy drama after all.

Doc Martin Series 6 --- DVD --- You might have to wait a long time to get your hands on any Doc Martin videos --- they’re very popular. But very much worth waiting for. Series 6 contains 8 episodes: a double treat. Enjoy it: I did.

Greetings, Doc Martin fans! Earlier this year Martin Clunes announced there will be a season 15! Filming to begin in 2015. He stated it is likely the last as the stories are running the risk of repeating and becoming a soap opera.

There has been speculation from the start that Doc Martin has Asperger Syndrome. This would explain so much. Watch the episodes assuming this and it's quite an eye opener: a man of great intelligence and skill yet no people skills or emotionality. Think back to how many times the Doc has laughed in six seasons, can you recall even once?

Doc Martin gives us a peek at what it may be like for someone with "issues" trying to lead a "normal" life.

What a great series. Love the seaside setting and the quirky characters. Hopefully they'll make a season 7.

The Doc Martin character is still interesting, but hasn't grown much emotionally. I think he needs a little complexity introduced into his love life at this point. Wife Louisa has left him with their son, for the time being at least, and I think the series would work better if his former red-headed girlfriend doctor returned to cause some trouble. I saw her as a much better match for Martin than Louisa was. The constable is the one character I can't stand on the show. What an idiot he is! He makes me want to scrape my fingernails on the wall. I'm looking forward to the next season!

Dr. Martin Ellingham: "I'll prescribe you a course of anti-inflammatories. That should help with the pain. Make an appointment to come back in five days." John Moysey: "What happens if I drop dead before then?" Dr. Martin Ellingham: "Then we'll cancel the appointment."
