The greatest battles of World War II and the most devastating human losses which the modern world has ever seen occurred on Russian soil during 1941-45, on a battlefield that is unknown to most Americans: the conflict between Hitler's Germany and Stalin's Russia. The Unknown War is a landmark television series that includes footage edited from over 3.5 million feet of film taken by Soviet camera crews from the first day of the war, 22 June, 1941, to the Soviet entry in Berlin in May, 1945. Contains all 20 episodes, only a few of which were ever broadcast on TV, and films which have never been seen outside this documentary series.
