For what this book is - a copy of a journal kept of a trip (plus and introduction and a letter at the end) - its good: high-quality reproductions of the entire page. I did not find what it was about that interesting though.

Emily Carr illustrates her rollicking-frollicking trip to Alaska with her sister Alice. You really get a sense of their camaraderie and good humour through her writings and illustrations. Loved it!

This was a fun, light read/look of a big, heavy diary. I like Emily Carr's sketches a lot, quite different from her works that I usually see.
