"Toni Murphy was eighteen when she and her boyfriend, Ryan, were wrongly convicted of the murder of her younger sister. Now she is thirty-four and back in her hometown, working every day to forge and adjust to a new life on the outside. She's doing everything in her power to avoid violating her parole and going back to prison. But nothing is making that easy--not Ryan, who is convinced he can figure out the truth; not her mother, who clearly doubts Toni's innocence; and certainly not the group of women who made Toni's life miserable in high school and may have darker secrets than anyone realizes. Before Toni can truly move on, she must risk everything to find out the truth and clear her name"--Provided by publisher.

This book........It was a page-turner right until the end. I have to say, I was a bit disappointed in the ending, though. Things seemed a little rushed in the last few chapters. <SPOILER> I was also disappointed that she never seemed to make things right with her mom. I get that it is probably more realistic that way, but as a new mother it made me sad that a mother and daughter could have such a terrible relationship. Still, I'd like to read more Chevy Stevens, this and Still Missing were quite good reads.

I really liked this book it was so suspenseful once I started one night I couldn't put it down and didn't end up going to bed until very late! The next morning I couldn't wait to pick up where I left off and ended up finishing this in a total of a day. I thought it was well written and very suspenseful and a good story line. I would read again if I didn't already know the ending!

Why do people, like 'atfrancis', feel the need to state endings to books? If you don't like a book, just say it.

Reads like a teenager's diary. Should be in the YA section. Lackluster and tedious read with a predictable happily-ever-after ending.

Wow, what a great book! I couldn't put it down! I was pulled into the story right away and really empathized with the main character. Can't wait to read another novel by this author.

A thrilling read, with a few twists along the way. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

I loved reading this murder mystery thriller set against the beautiful backdrop of Vancouver Island (Go Canucks Go!). The only reason why it's a four star rating is because the beginning of the book was a little rocky for me. I was not as interested in Toni and Ryan's high school life as much as I was in their prison lives and everything that came after. But despite that, I think that part of their lives was necessary to include so that it explained their actions and showed how the system worked against them. I also feel the author should have given us more Ryan post-jailtime. He had a tendency for violence and I wish it was addressed more thoroughly and how his life had changed with/without Toni after the mystery was solved.
