Coarse Language: Some swearing. Also, Mr. Kelly's deceased girlfriend is referred to in very vulgar fashion a couple of times by the ones who killed her.

So author modified Marvel Comics's Punisher origin story & maybe his story arcs.
Still very good gritty Cold-war period piece novel as United States & Soviet Union forced to defuse separate international crisis in North Vietnamese P.O.W camp

Just finished re-reading one of Clancy's best novels. Well worth the effort.

Though not the first one written, this is chronologically the first book in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan / John Kelly (Clark) series. It is the second one I have read, with "Rainbow Six" being the first. This blows "Rainbow Six" away. It is Rambo meets Batman (the Dark Knight version of Batman).
