This film from France is a story of passion - pretty intense passion undiluted by time. Both acting and directing are good. But I simply have no sympathy for the protagonists as they both lack the basic moral standard and, knowingly, drive everyone involved to a bad ending. Subtitles.

Three beautiful actors: C. Deneuve, C. Gainsbourg, Chiara Mastroianni in a beautifully filmed triangle love story which, despite everything is unconvincing. Why doe HE obsess about HER? when throughout the film he is often portrayed in passionate love scenes with his wife, the sister of HER?!

Seamless fluid camera movement and well-crafted direction. Recommended.
