Stone Barrington returns in the new edge-of-your-seat thriller from the #1 New York Times -bestselling author.

When he's apprised at the last minute of a mandatory meeting abroad, Stone Barrington rushes off to Europe for a whirlwind tour of business and, of course, pleasure. But from the start the trip seems to be cursed, plagued by suspicious "accidents" and unfortunate events, and some of Stone's plans go up in flames--literally.

Not a believer in coincidence, Stone sets out to learn the true source of his curious misfortune and finds that what appeared to be bad luck may, in fact, have been a warning. From the chic streets of Paris to Italy's spectacular Amalfi Coast, Stone is pursued from all sides . . . but when the tables turn, the hunted may become the hunter . . .

This book was like a bad James Bond movie: he sleeps with the woman, beats the mafia, is loaded with money, knows presidents...I just couldn't stand it

I have read several of Wood's books and this is simply awful. He has reduced his character to a world class show off-who I know, who I sleep with, how important I am. A good writer gone very bad, skip this one.

The Stone Barrington stories are always a good, non-taxing read. (I do find Stone's power a little farfetched, however.)

Although "Foreign Affairs" is good entertainment, the writing style is a bit brusk for me. I enjoy more time spent on language structure. The novel is nothing but plot.

Stone Barrington is on top of the world in this one. always a new woman, lots of cash and more help with his friends than he nears.
