This is a tremendous work of art. Give the artist full marks - you will see the hard work and labor of love that this was. Geoff Johns is at his best when he has a story that is not crammed with a million characters.

"The great lie is over. The dead king has risen". I have been following this series from the beginning. Outstanding art, mind blowing adventures, well told stories. Vol. 4: Death Of A King, is particularly outstanding. I immensely enjoyed this read. Aquaman brings out some of the best The New 52 have offer. A must read for all comic fans.

Aquaman finds himself a king of his people, contending with secrets about the past and new threats below the sea. Johns carries on with his different take on the character, one that makes him a more compelling character than he has been in the past. This, incidentally, is a good thing, considering how dull the character has been.
