Doc Ford #23, following Cuba straits. Half-eaten dolphins are washing ashore on Sanibel Island, and it's a nightmare. There's a predator out there, and whatever it is, tourists are staying away and businesses are hurting badly. Doc Ford has a theory about that, but he hopes he's wrong. Because if he's not, there's a predator out there, all right, but it's nothing like anyone supposes. It's human, and very determined - and it's on a collision course with everyone on the island.

Kinda weird, didn't make sense in a lot of places, had a couple of things going but none were very interesting. One of those that you power through hoping it gets better.

I gave up half way thru, just couldn't get into it. Maybe I need to read some of his earlier books to get excited about the characters.

At first, I had some difficulty following what was going on and getting involved in this mystery. Not to worry, I realized I can't always keep up with a good author. I have read all of Randy White's books and this one is the best and smartest of them all !!!

Not one of my favorites. Pretty average. 6 of 10 for me.
