Inspector Montalbano is up to his usual naughtiness in this humorous mystery. I love the Sicilian atmosphere that Camilleri's stories provide; all the lovely scenery, yummy food, and interesting dialogue almost make you believe you are there. Even though I could plainly see what Inspector Montalbano could not, there was still a twist at the end and enough humor throughout that made it worthwhile finishing the story.
"Investigating a rash of burglaries being committed by a brazen gang whose leader sends him menacing letters, Sicilian inspector Salvo Montalbano falls for one of the theft victims only to face greater challenges when one of the burglars is found dead.
