I like police procedural stories like Rankin's Rebus and Robinson's Banks. So I liked this book along with other Peter James' Grace books I've read. I'm working my way through the Roy Grace series as I can find them - the stories all seem to happen closely together, even though they have been written over a fairly long time span - so the technology involved in the stories seems to take quantum leaps within less than a fictional elapsed year. Another niggle - they all end like a TV or movie script with a less-than believable action-packed ending - natural enough given Peter James' background.

Not a bad book, even with the unbelievable twist at the end that somehow allowed the conclusion

Another winner from Peter James. Not just a great thriller, but also an insight into how far a mother is willing to go to save her child's life.
