Komomo grew up spoiled. She was treated like a princess, and acted like a brat. The young Natsu took the brunt of her attitude, but he also saw a side of her that no one else did; Komomo's family life and status did damage her as a person. Now years later, her family is broke, and she is on her own and having to fend for herself for the first time. Komomo has no skills or experience with the real world, and finds quickly herself with no friends, no home, no job. Then Natsu returns as a successful patisserie. Natsu's sweets were the one solace that Komomo had, but this is not the crybaby she remembers. Natsu takes her in, only to start bullying her. Komomo gets the shove that she needed, and grows at a rapid pace from here on out. However, Natsu has other motives for taking her in, but whether he can go through with it by the end of the series is questionable. Minami's art is as beautiful as usual. Her ability to portray emotions like jealousy, affection, and "demonic" anger continues to impress. Komomo Confiserie is full of humour, lighthearted fun, romance, and growth.
