Being a cowboy is a full-time occupation, not just a state of mind. Here we meet present day cowboys who tell of the rewards they get from their job. We view a portrayal of the Black American cowboy and learn how they helped to develop the great American west. We meet rodeo participants who explain the exhilaration they receive from their sport. Steer wrestling, bareback and saddle bronc, calf roping and wild cow milking are all shown and explained. Also we discover the importance of branding, which is emphasized even in modern times.
