This made me realize that you don't really choose love but love chooses you.

Check out my review of "The Crown" on my blog at:

This book was great. It shows that spoiled people(princess Eadlyn) can change (or not).

I hated this book. It was so boring that I didnt even bother finishing the book. I already knew who one so it was a waste of time. I liked the ones with America and Maxon better.

This book was absolutely AMAZING. Although to be honest I liked the ones about America more than the ones about Eadlyn

I don't know why everyone is saying that they hated the book!
It was really good!! I was actually very happy with the outcome of the ending.

I hope Kiera Kass writes another one!!

When it comes down to the wire, Eadlyn is prepared to make a sacrifice for her people. Are her people worth it…or can another choice be made?

Eadlyn is under considerable pressure in this installation of The Selection series. Besides negotiating which of her suitors will go and which will stay, she has to worry about the unrest troubling her people, maintaining popularity with a public that remains hostile in spite of her best efforts and dealing with the ill health of her mother and the stress crippling her father.

Eadlyn doesn’t always maintain her dignity. She doesn’t always make the right choices. She’s been betrayed and blindsided by the boys bidding for her hand (does nobody perform background checks?). But she manages to sail through, head held high, mainly with the help of those around her. Reading about this smart girl forming alliances, making difficult decisions and gathering support was awe inspiring to read. From rather disliking her, I came to root for her, to hope that she could keep her country together and somehow find true love.

This is a fine fictional heroine, one that could certainly provide guidance for young girls trying to find their footing in the world. While most of us will never run a country, who knows? Ms. Cass’s novels could be outlines on how it should be done.

The heir was my favorite book of all of the series. I was so excited to read this one but it totally let me down. I wish she had chosen someone else. The whole book felt really rushed to me, and the characters of her parents were totally flat instead of real people like in the first part of the series.

You are always the queen.

"Every moment we'd ever had together danced through my head. His awkward stance the day we first met, and how I scolded him before the parade for biting his nails. The way he protected me when the fight broke out in the kitchen, and how my eyes flitted to him over and over when the boys were deep in prayer outside the hospital wing. And, most astonishingly, the moment in the Women's Room when Camille asked who filled my head, and how hard I fought to stop myself from saying his name out loud then and there."

"But the truth is, love is as much fate as it is planning, as much beauty as it is disaster. Finding a prince might mean kissing a lot of frogs. Or kicking a lot of frogs out of your house. Falling might mean running headfirst into something you always wanted. Or dipping your toe into something you've been scared of your whole life. Happily ever after could be waiting in a field a mile wide. Or a window as narrow as seven minutes."

Sexual Content: Kissing. That's about it, but in one part (very small) two of the characters confess that they are gay. But that's about it.
