This drama/thriller film is about a single mother who is at the park with her son, until he is kidnapped by strangers. With no time to think, she jumps in her car and quickly drives in her car after them. The movie is full of action and suspense as Karla (played by Halle Berry) risks it all in order to save her son. The movie was definitely over dramatic at times and had some poor acting and poorly thought out scenes. The movie doesn’t add anything new to the kidnapped child sub-genre, but it does deliver some degree of entertainment within an hour and a half. I would rate this movie 2/5 stars. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

"Overall, don’t expect much from this movie. The title is super lazy “Kidnap”, NO really? Lol but I did enjoy most of it. I thought Halle Berry was good as a mother who never stops going after her son. The movie is definitely an advertisement for a minivan, and the chase at first was really entertaining and fun to watch..."

If you like films where stupid decisions drive the (rather thin) plot, then this movie is right up your alley.

Good tension and great terror from make ends meet waitress and supermom, Halle Berry, after the abduction of her son. Actually, liked Halle's interstate pursuit of the kidnappers but not using her car as a weapon was questionable.

This movie was well worth watching!
From beginning to end, non-stop action.

When Karla (Halle Berry) noticed that her son was being abducted, her protective parenting skills kicked in full force. Most people would stop what they are doing and call the police. Not this Mother! She jumped into her own vehicle, than proceeded to have a car chase with the kidnappers, to get her son.

This is one mother that uses everything in her ability to stop at nothing to get her child back. (2 thumbs up)

Not much of a script just lots of interstate footage. Haile Berry tried but had little to work with. Worth a view as long as you don't have to pay to see it.

It was OK, but for me it was predictable.

Would have been better and more fun if they went for a grindhouse, or pulpy feel as well as made the whole film done in real time.

This movie lets you see that nothing can compare to or beat a mothers love and care for her children. Stealing somebodies children is worse that stealing their purse / wallet and car. Every life is precious , especially when they are young. Do not forget that a child's memory is very good and they remember things from their youth forever.

Story is formulais...been there, done that. Script is atrocious, and the acting is just cringe-worthy. That Oscar for best actress really should have gone to someone more deserving.
