This is an amazing look at the women who were made queen of England, only to be pushed around by a narcissistic man who had the power of an entire country behind him. Each chapter is written by a different author and gives each woman a different voice completely. You feel truly sorry for each woman that Henry made his queen and you learn so much more than Divorce, Beheaded, Died, Divorced, Beheaded, Survived.

An enlightening collection of firsthand accounts from each of Henry VIII's six wives. I knew the most about Katharine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn. In between each of the wives' stories we get a blurb from Henry's POV. Especially enjoyed the Kateryn Parr (Wife #6) chapter. She learned from history and outlived her king. This is not an exhaustive resource, but more of an overview and shows the reader the big picture.

Fatal Throne is a descriptive and engaging nonfiction book for kids and teens about Henry VIII and his six wives. What is unique about this book is that each chapter/person is written by a different author. I really enjoyed reading each author's take on Henry and his wives. This is also a book that I have been looking forward to reading after finding out about it over a year and a half ago.
