Grab the best seat in the house with this funny, touching picture book about a giraffe who keeps being mistaken for a chair! From the acclaimed author-illustrator of There's a Giraffe in My Soup, Ross Burach, comes a curious tale about finding one's courage and standing up for oneself. Full of vibrant and playful illustrations and hilariously absurd logic, kids will want to read it again and again. Could there be anything worse for Giraffe? Maybe being sat on by a skunk or smooshed by two hapless hippos, or worst of all--cornered by a hungry lion? No one seems to notice that Giraffe is not standing around just to be sat upon. Will he be able to find his voice and make his friends realize who he really is?.

A fun story about a Giraffe who is constantly mistaken for a chair. It's definitely a read-out-loud book for children.

Spoilers: I personally don't like the irony of the Giraffe sitting on a turtle at the end, but it's clever, and I'm sure it'd get a laugh out of most people.

My three year old son liked this book more than I did - but it's aimed at him not me, so I suppose that's a good thing.

The concept is excellent. The art is great. The words used to tell the story are really really choppy and need to be read in exaggerated "acting out" voice or the story flops. So, if you're the type who likes to "do the voices" when you read to your kids, it'll be a good book for you. If not, it won't.

Hilarious story and great drawings - the expressions on the faces were delightful. LOVED this one!

Giraffe is tired of everyone sitting on him, including the hippos. What can he do to prevent everyone from sitting on him? A humorous story which teaches the virtues courage and bravery to young children.
