Trite, contrived, poorly conceived, poorly executed, trying to be more important than it is, basically unwatchable. Flower is derivative of about five different better films. It's just a jumbled mess of tones and ideas, none of which ever fully gets off the ground. Only bright spot is Joey Morgan.

Terribly immoral story line. Trashy trying to be funny. The only positive element is that the characters were well played and believably mentally sick.

This was the most vomit inducing movie I have ever watched. I cringed the entire way through. Disgusting. Crass.

Opening scene was too much..& it went from there.. a mum that acts like your worst friend... a father in jail.

& I doubt it would come off as quirky how she is making $ if she was a person of colour...& to think its for her fathers bail.

Important coming-of-age film about the new millennium generation and their questionable place in this world.

This movie was without a doubt the epitome of trying too hard to be edgy, different, and quirky. A seventeen year old girl finds herself trapped in the threshold of adolescence while living with her mom, her mom’s new boyfriend, and his troublesome son who just got out of rehab. This causes her to start acting out with teachers and her friends. The movie could have been something great if it knew what it was doing, but it seemed as though the director set out to achieve more than they were capable of doing. The performances were alright, the writing was alright, and so was the directing, but the whole time I could not help but to feel like something was missing. I would rate this movie 2.5/5 stars @The_Reviewer of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
