Would have been interesting but couldn’t hear a lot of the dialogue because of loud sound track.

Not just the guests but the workers and performing artists in the Carlyle.

The Cafe:
"I think we're looking at a Vertes fantasy. We're looking at circus performers. We're looking at musicians. We're looking at ballet. And I think they've become symbolic of this space in the same way that you enter Bemelmans' world, here you're entering the world of Marcel Vertes."

The rich clientele besides the royalties and powerful politicians:
"Well, I think it's really as varied a crowd as you get anywhere because you get some people for the music, some people because they know the reputation of the room and they come back year after year. You get millionaires, billionaires who are sitting and you don't even know who they are sometimes, and then you find out who they are or they talk to you at the bar and you go "Oh, you own that building."

The celebrity cameos:
George Clooney, Anthony Bourdain, Anjelica Huston, Wes Anderson, Jeff Goldblum, Jon Hamm, Naomi Campbell, Sofia Coppola, Vera Wang, Harrison Ford, Condi Rice, Tommy Lee Jones, Lenny Kravitz, Roger Federer plus older clips such as Woody Allen, Billy Joel, Jack Nichelson etc.

I thought it was pretty boring. Not much substance to it.

I am normally a huge fan of documentaries. I have only a mild recommendation for this one. Kristi & Abby Tabby
