Technically sophisticated, but extremely readable, Harris tells the story beyond the meteoric rise of Oculus - from the teenage founder living in a used trailer behind his parents' house, to the pioneering VR technology being scooped by Facebook for $2.7 billion. The closing chapters shed some disturbing light on Mark Zuckerberg's dominating control over the privacy policies of FB, and over the company's unwritten codes of support for liberal politics.
